Swimming in Hong Kong was reviewed by Stephanie Chan for Asian American Literature: Discourses & Pedagogies. It’s always interesting to see how people read your work. I’m aware that some people will be keen on the book, and others will simply not like it. I thought that this review gave an accurate thematic overview of the collection. I like this academic journal as I believe it also to be useful to laypeople, specifically teachers of Asian American/multicultural literature who need deeper insight into a text or ideas that a text evokes. There are some journals that don’t necessarily address these types of issues, but this one does.
