I am so pleased to have been reviewed in Islamic University of Malaysia’s literature, language and theory journal: Asiatic Review IIUM Journal of English Language and Literature by Cynthia Lam. I always find it interesting to see what strikes people and that how people read varies according to geographic location. We bring who we are to how we read. As always, I am thankful that anyone took the time to read the book, much less write about it. Anyone who reads, who seeks deliverance or retreat or knowledge through the reading of fiction is rather different in our modern world. For me, as a writer, the act of writing and reading, is one of transmission and connection. Reading offers us a chance briefly to link minds and thoughts, to share our imagined worlds, our joys and troubles with another as we dream together. In so doing, we can hope and think that who we may be, who are are, who we desire to be is not so different from another, and for a brief time, we are not alone in this world. We have readers. We have writers. We have friends.
